I’m sure I made up songs way before college but that little rap I made up in college was my best piece of work. I can’t even recall most of the lyrics now but I’ve been told it’s recorded somewhere. I pray my children NEVER hear it. My husband either…
Now that I’m “settled down” my songs are more kid friendly. My love of signing comes from my dad. Unfortunately I can’t carry a tune. I’m grateful my kids don’t care.
Barrett and I made up a few songs once to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle
Snow flake, snow flake falling downfalling down all on the ground.
White and fluffy, big and soft
Hold on to my sled so I don’t fall off.
Snow flake, snow flake falling down
falling down all on the ground.
Snow flake, snow flake falling down
falling down all on the ground.
White and fluffy, falling south.
Stick out my tongue, catch one in my mouth.
Snow flake, snow flake falling down
falling down all on the ground.
We have a raindrop song too 🙂
Now on to the more stinky song. To the tune of “Humps” by Black Eyed Peas
I love my little KieKie
Even when he’s stinky
He’s got a smelly booty
but he’s cutie pa tootie
My Kiekie, my little stinky boy. Take a wiff
My children inherited my love for altering songs. Merricks’ tend to be about farting and pooping but Barrett is more creative with his lyrics. It’s a fun game we play. Daily someone is signing in the house. It’s pretty cool.
